Description
Kuba lidded boxes, intricately carved, were used to hold tukula, red camwood, mixed with oil and applied to the body as a cosmetic. Crescent shape is typical of most Kuba cosmetic boxes.
This box has been used for its intended purpose and is in excellent condition with a beautiful patina and only minor evidence of wear and tear due to use and age.
